If you're searching for CNC machining in China, you probably already have a drawing. What you need is a supplier who will cut it to spec, document it, and ship it on time. Price matters, but only after three checks: the tolerance is held to a named standard, the part fits the supplier's machines, and the paperwork suits your industry.
Most supplier lists online skip those checks. They mix job shops with machine builders, sourcing platforms and catalog sellers. This guide compares nine suppliers that make custom parts to a drawing. We checked each one against its own published pages, so you can shortlist for an RFQ with fewer surprises. If you'd like to see how we run CNC machining in China ourselves, that page covers it.
How Were These CNC Machining Suppliers in China Selected?
We used three tests: the business model, the service sold, and the source of each fact. Every company here takes customer drawings or CAD files and quotes them as custom work. The list isn't a ranking. The order below carries no score, and no supplier gets a badge or a rank.
What counted as an on-demand manufacturer?
An on-demand manufacturer quotes and machines parts to your drawing. It runs from a single prototype into production without selling you a catalog item. Eight of the nine companies listed work this way, and each one runs its own factory or machine shop in China.
Why were machine builders left out and one marketplace kept in?
Machine tool builders sell CNC machines, not machined parts, so they don't belong on a parts buyer's shortlist. We did keep one sourcing marketplace, Haizol. Some buyers want to benchmark several factories from one RFQ, and a platform is the honest way to do that. We list it as a platform, not as a manufacturer.
How was each supplier's data checked?
Every competitor fact comes from that company's own website, read on October 12, 2026. Directory profiles, review sites and AI summaries didn't count as evidence. When a company doesn't publish a figure, the table says "Not stated" instead of guessing. Where a site contradicts itself, we use the more conservative figure or leave the claim out.
What Should You Compare Before Sending an RFQ to China?
Four questions separate suppliers more clearly than price does. Each one changes what you'll receive and how much checking your quality team will need. The answers for each company sit in the table and profiles further down.
Does the supplier own the factory that cuts your part?
Ownership decides who controls your part from setup to inspection. Some companies here machine everything in-house. Others combine their own factory with a vetted partner network to add capacity. Both models work, but your PO should name the producing site if traceability matters to your program.
What tolerance standard does the quote assume?
A tolerance only means something when you know which standard sits behind it. Several suppliers here quote untoleranced features to ISO 2768 by default, at either the medium or the fine class. Headline figures such as ±0.005 mm usually apply to selected features only. Your drawing should state the general tolerance class, so every quote assumes the same thing.
Which certificates does your program actually need?
ISO 9001 covers the quality management system, and most suppliers here state it. Automotive programs often ask for IATF 16949, and medical parts often call for ISO 13485. A certificate only counts when the standard is named and current. Ask for a copy, then check it with the issuing registrar.
What does a published lead time really cover?
"As fast as" figures describe the quickest case, usually a simple part in a common material. Lead time also stretches with finishing, inspection and shipping. Compare like with like by asking each supplier for a dated lead time on your actual part. Our China CNC machining cost guide explains which drawing details move both price and schedule.
China CNC Machining Suppliers Compared
The table summarizes what each company states on its own site. The widest gaps sit in two places: certificates, from ISO 9001 alone to four management standards, and how much each site publishes about lead time. "Best for" and "Less suited to" are our assessment from those published facts, not the companies' own claims.

The Nine Suppliers in Detail
Each profile uses the same fields: what the company states it does, then where it fits and where it doesn't. Read the "Less suited to" lines as the questions to raise in your RFQ.
RapidDirect
RapidDirect's differentiator is its online quoting and DFM platform. You upload a CAD file and get pricing without waiting on an estimator. The company states it combines its own Shenzhen factory with a network of vetted partner suppliers. Its CNC page lists 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling, turning, Swiss machining and EDM.
The company states ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 certification. It quotes general tolerances to ISO 2768-m for metals. It advertises delivery of simple parts in as little as one day.
Best for: buyers who want instant pricing and DFM feedback, and who move from prototype to volume across several processes with one vendor.
Less suited to: buyers who need to know exactly which factory cuts each part. Work can route to partner shops, so ask for the producing site to be named on the PO.
HLH Prototypes
HLH Prototypes stands out for engineer-led quoting and Western-facing sales contacts. The company states its main office is in Shenzhen and its factory is in Dongguan. It describes more than 50 CNC mills, lathes, EDM and grinding machines, with 3-, 4- and 5-axis capacity.
Its accreditations page lists ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949 and ISO 13485. By default it works to ISO 2768-1, fine class for machined metal. Tighter tolerances are negotiated at the quote stage. It aims to quote prototype projects within 24 hours.
Best for: product development teams that want an engineer reviewing the drawing, plus an automotive and medical certificate set.
Less suited to: buyers who need a published CNC lead time or a fully automated price. The site states neither.
PartMFG
PartMFG's differentiator is full factory ownership. The company states 100% factory ownership and links it to protecting your intellectual property. Its CNC page covers 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling, turning, wire EDM and micro machining. It has dedicated pages for superalloy, Kovar and ceramic machining.
The company states ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certification. Its CNC material blocks list lead times under 10 days. It targets prototypes and short-to-medium production runs.
Best for: buyers who want a single owned factory for prototypes and short runs, especially in unusual materials.
Less suited to: buyers who rely on one published tolerance. The site's ±0.005 mm headline and its ±0.125 mm material blocks differ, so confirm the achievable tolerance feature by feature.
China CNC Machining Co
We're China CNC Machining Co, a factory-direct CNC machining supplier in Bao'an, Shenzhen. Our focus is machined metal and plastic components made to your drawing. That covers milling, turning and 5-axis work. We take prototypes and carry the same part into production under one quality system.
We hold ±0.05 mm as our standard tolerance and ±0.01 mm on precision features, with ISO 2768 as the general tolerance reference. Our quality system is certified to ISO 9001. Milled parts can run up to 3000 mm long, and turned parts up to 400 mm in diameter. Standard lead time is 10–15 days, and a mini order can ship in 7 days.
Best for: OEM buyers who need metal production parts machined to ISO 2768 in one Shenzhen factory, from first article through repeat orders.
Less suited to: projects that need parts in one to three days. Our fastest mini-order lead time is 7 days, so a supplier advertising next-day prototypes fits that need better.
WayKen
WayKen's differentiator is tight metal tolerances from a compact shop. The company states it runs an in-house machine shop in Shenzhen with 16 CNC machines. It adds manufacturing resources from elsewhere in China when needed. It quotes precision machining at IT7–IT5, or ±0.05 mm to ±0.005 mm.
The company states ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 certification. It advertises delivery as fast as three days. It handles quantities from 1 to 10,000 pieces.
Best for: automotive and engineering buyers who want IATF 16949 and tight tolerances on prototypes and bridge volumes.
Less suited to: large production programs. With 16 machines stated, ask how much of a big order runs in-house.
3ERP
3ERP's strength is breadth for prototypes. CNC sits alongside injection molding, urethane casting, metal casting and sheet metal. The company states it has run rapid prototyping since 2010, with its office in Zhongshan. It lists over 40 in-house CNC milling machines, plus 5-axis, Swiss and mill-turn capacity.
The company states ISO 9001 certification. It advertises lead times as fast as three days on simple parts. Its instant quote covers 1–1,000 parts.
Best for: prototype and low-volume buyers who want 5-axis or Swiss work alongside molding or casting from one supplier.
Less suited to: regulated medical or automotive programs that need ISO 13485 or IATF 16949. The site states ISO 9001 only.
Zintilon
Zintilon's differentiator is complex 5-axis metal work. The company states it runs eight Hermle 5-axis milling centers in Bao'an, Shenzhen. It lists a 3-axis envelope of 3000 × 2200 × 1100 mm and more than 40 surface finishes. It also offers Swiss turning and EDM.
Its certification page lists ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001. It advertises lead times as fast as 3–7 days. It works to ISO 2768-m by default.
Best for: complex 5-axis or Swiss-turned metal parts that benefit from high-end 5-axis equipment and a large part envelope.
Less suited to: programs that depend on clean compliance records. Some certification statements on the site conflict with each other, so request current certificates and verify them with the registrar.
Gensun Precision
Gensun Precision suits buyers who prefer a traditional RFQ. You send drawings by email or form and talk to engineers, rather than using an instant-quote tool. The company states it was established in 2006 in Dongguan. It offers CNC milling and turning alongside die casting, sheet metal and extrusion.
The company states ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 13485 certification. Its stated focus is custom prototypes and low-volume production.
Best for: engineer-to-engineer RFQs with an established job shop, including medical parts under ISO 13485.
Less suited to: buyers who want instant online pricing or a published lead time. The site offers neither.
Haizol
Haizol is a sourcing marketplace, not a manufacturer. The company states it launched in Shanghai in 2015. It matches your RFQ with verified factories and states that quotes come back within 24 hours. It states complex parts typically ship in 2–4 weeks.
The platform states no quality certification of its own. Supplier certificates appear on each factory's profile. Its CNC capability table gives a tolerance of ±0.1 mm.
Best for: sourcing teams that want to benchmark several Chinese shops from one RFQ before choosing a direct supplier.
Less suited to: buyers who want one accountable manufacturer and one quality system. Quality depends on which factory wins the job.
Which China CNC Machining Supplier Fits Your Part?
Match your main constraint to the supplier built around it. Price comes after fit, since a cheap quote on the wrong process costs more in rework.
- You need parts in one to three days: shortlist RapidDirect, 3ERP or WayKen, which all advertise fast prototype delivery.
- Your program requires IATF 16949 or ISO 13485: start with RapidDirect, HLH Prototypes, WayKen or Gensun Precision, and verify each certificate.
- The part is complex 5-axis metal work: compare Zintilon with our 5-axis machining service.
- You want one owned factory and no partner hand-offs: look at PartMFG or ourselves.
- You want to benchmark many factories at once: use Haizol, then move the winning part to a direct supplier.
- You need metal production parts to ISO 2768, from first article through repeat orders: that's the work we're set up for. We machine low-volume batches and large parts up to 3000 mm long in the same Shenzhen factory.
If that last line describes your part, we'd like to see it. Send your drawing for a DFM review and a quote.
Disclosure: China CNC Machining Co publishes this guide and is one of the suppliers compared. We're part of Yijin Solution, so Yijin Solution isn't listed separately.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Much Does CNC Machining Cost in China?
CNC machining in China is priced per part, not per hour, and the price depends on material, geometry, tolerance, finish and quantity. Setup cost is spread across the batch, so unit price falls as quantity rises. Tight tolerances and extra finishing add inspection and machine time. Our cost guide breaks down each driver so you can compare quotes on the same basis.
Is CNC machining in China reliable for Western OEMs?
Yes, when the supplier works to a named quality system and documents each order. Ask for an ISO 9001 certificate you can verify, a first article inspection report, and material certificates. State the general tolerance standard, such as ISO 2768, on your drawing. Those three steps give your quality team the same evidence a local supplier would provide.
What are top CNC machining suppliers in China?
Suppliers that publish their capabilities in detail include RapidDirect, HLH Prototypes, PartMFG, WayKen, 3ERP, Zintilon and Gensun Precision. China CNC Machining Co also machines custom parts to drawings in Shenzhen. Haizol is a marketplace that matches RFQs with factories. The right choice depends on your lead time, certificates and part complexity.
How much can I save by outsourcing CNC machining to China?
Savings depend on the part, the quantity and your landed cost, so there's no single percentage. Compare the full landed cost, including freight, duties, inspection and the time your team spends managing the supplier. Production quantities of a stable design usually show the clearest difference. A dated quote on your actual drawing is the only reliable way to measure it.
